Does having a clean and organized home make you a successful person?
Piles and piles and piles and piles
On the day I sent out my first newsletter, I attended a small breakfast gathering hosted by my friend Fran and her friend Daniella at Daniella’s beautiful home in Manhattan. I was excited to be invited, but I was still feeling very insecure about my decision to leave Fortune, and I felt a little anxious being surrounded by so many successful women.
Since it was such a small group, we sat in a circle and introduced ourselves. I explained that I had recently left my job, and I was trying to figure out what I was going to do next. I did not talk about The Purse because I was too shy and at that point unsure if I’d even send another one. But I did make very clear that I was NOT going to be a stay-at-home mom.
