I love posts like this that share how a couple's division of labor has changed over time. It's a good reminder that these things aren't and shouldn't be static!

I loved this one! They seem so mindful and intentional about their approach, and also her work sounds fascinating and fulfilling! I also love that they give themselves and the other space “to be a human outside of parenting”. That’s been one of my life hacks as a (mostly solo) mom. Thanks for the great profile!

Thanks for sharing this one, Lindsey. I learn so much from these, well beyond the Division of Labor lessons. For example, witnessing the effort this couple puts into self-care and how they prioritize marriage therapy. Seeing the way grandparents get special time with the grandkids. Appreciating the massive lifestyle/career change for Sean who went from nursing to business. There's so much here!

I so enjoy reading these ‘day in the life of’ tales from normal people! Helps to see others have the same challenges, and those ‘hacks’ are definitely worth considering….

My husband and I are back in marriage therapy after a few years and I oscillate between relief and embarrassment. I love reading how this couple values and respects this resource! Super motivational.

Love this one! And glad your son is doing okay!

Also, if you still write about the cost of vacations next week or another week, I have to share this article my sister sent me yesterday: https://www.nytimes.com/2024/08/20/business/disney-vacation-debt.html#:~:text=For%20a%20family%20of%20four,afford%20the%20trip%20at%20all.

This quote from it was insane - "45 percent of parents with children under 18 who have gone to Disney went into debt for the trip" !!

I'd love to hear a parent's perspective on that if you write about the cost of vacations in a future week! Especially if you've gone on a Disney vacation.

My parents never took me to Disney as a child (in large part because it was extremely expensive)...did I miss out? Are these types of vacations worth the debt?
